Nest

Does a tree remember,

the leaves that fall every autumn?

I don’t know if I will be remembered,

for the time we plucked our lives from,

for how you flew away from the

branch I still have a small house on

I don’t know if a bird remembers,

which tree he was born on,

but what I do know,

is a bird never forgets

on which tree it has a nest on.
