Poetry 2014 Longlist, Ranjini Roychaudhary

I  Me  Myself

Amidst the mirage of pseudo names
I look for you.
Deep in the valley of silicon chips,
I desperately try to carve your fame
With invisible ink.
Am I insane?
Desiring for a life without pain?
Lonely chat rooms
Fleeting moments of intimacy.
Temporary blooms.
Breaking stigma
Wandering phone numbers
Amidst fear of erasure
Anchoring themselves
In my call list.
Gypsying between transit homes.
I take root like a soul in its host.
To be washed away to another shore.
